Welcome!
This is the website for a surname study registered with the Guild of One Name Studies.
The surnames of interest are a collection of variants generally in the form S-NN-T, and include SINNOTT, SENNETT, SYNNOTT, SINNETT, SENNITT.
In 2011 I registered the SENNETT one name study with the Guild of One Name Studies. I quickly expanded this to include the main Irish origin spellings of SINNOTT and SYNNOTT and any variant of these, usually in the form S-NN-T (SINNETT, SINNET, SYNOTT, SYNNOT, etc as well as SINEATH and SENNITT). SINNOTT remains the most dominant spelling of the name worldwide.
This website now contains ALL the data (non-living people only) held by the S-NN-T one name study. Many duplicate records will have been merged or deleted between updates, and this may change identification numbers. I am now appealing for all the family genealogists out there to help make sure the information on your own lineage is correct - please contact me when you find errors, or have information you can add, so we can together make this the best crowd-sourced genealogical resource for S-NN-Ts that we can.
UPDATE My additional surname interest of CURTIS of Sutton Courtenay, Berkshire, England is now linked through myself with these records found within the SENNETT tree. These records represent many years of work, starting in the 1970's, researched by my mother, P.A.T. Curtis. whose interest started me off on a lifelong interest in genealogy research.
